Lindon Shawl knitting digital pattern

Lindon was designed to showcase the beautiful drape of bourette silk in a light, summery shawl that is simple yet beautiful. It uses only 100g of light-fingering or heavy-laceweight yarn at an airy gauge.

It begins with a garter tab cast-on then alternates sections of garter stitch and mesh with a lovely floral lace pattern and ends with a picot bind off.

Measurements: 67in/170 cm wingspan. 16in/ 40cm depth.

Yarn: MC - Knitting for Olive Pure Silk - 2 balls. 273yds/250m per 50g ball or another heavy-laceweight/light-fingering weight yarn of similar weight to yardage.

NOTE: My test knitters found that any variation in gauge led to quite a bit of difference in amount of yarn used. It’s best to round up just to be safe.

Needles: US 5/3.75mm circular needle with 40 inch/100 cm cable. I also like to have an additional DPN to use while working the picot bind off.

Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rows in garter stitch for 4 in/ 10 cm square. Gauge is not crucial for this project but differences in gauge will affect finished measurements and change yarn requirements. I used 90 total grams at this gauge.
